Have you ever had a day where you set out to do something & everywhere you turn there are strange little “signs” that make you feel like you’re EXACTLY where you should be? Like the universe magically created the perfect path for you? Well, the day of Anna & Jacob’s engagement shoot was one of those days..

There’s a little junkyard/garage around the corner from my studio that I drive by every day & every time I pass it I think “I need to shoot there”…. so when Anna & Jacob showed up to the studio, we hopped in my car & headed over there. The little blue VW bus in the back turned out to be sign #1…the initials of their last names are V..and W. Weird, eh?

The cute little red bug that matched Anna’s shirt exactly = Sign #2. Okay, maybe that one was just a coincidence..but still :)

After months of emailing & chatting on the phone, I found out Anna & Jacob are really into music theatre, so I knew downtown had to be on our list of locations for their shoot. I have never used the Carolina Theatre as a background for a shoot before, so I figured this was the perfect time to go for it. As we were shooting outside the theatre entrance, I heard a familiar voice say “Kellie, Hey!” and looked up to find one of my sweet 2007 brides, Meagan…with the cutest little pregnant belly you’ve ever seen! Turns out Meagan works for the theatre & even let us sneak in while they were setting up for the “Wizard of Oz” to grab a few shots. ( Thanks Meagan…can’t wait to meet your new little gal! :) What are the odds we would be there at the exact same time? Yep, that’s sign #3.
