We didn’t just celebrate the 4th of July this weekend, we celebrated my first weekend off since March! Noah & Emery were SO excited to have me home on a Saturday, we jam-packed an entire week’s-worth of fun into 2 days! After baking star-cakes for the cookout at my brother’s house ( I’m still cleaning up the sprinkles! :), we chowed on some watermelon, jumped on the trampoline ( with the sprinkler underneath… a trend the boys started on their own :), took a long bike-ride around the neighborhood and caught a little 4th of July parade action. We rounded out the night with a dance-party in our living room and crashed on the couch watching Harry Potter. Right before sweet Emery closed his eyes for the night, he said, “Mommy…this was the best weekend EVER!” I don’t think I’ve ever smiled that big… :)

Noah is SO into taking pictures these days…I caught him in the yard framing this shot of Emery building his “fort”… 
There is nothing more precious than “happy” on a child’s face. I guess photographic talent runs in the family. My grandboys are sweeter than watermelon. These boys will remember what a wonderful and magical day this was with their family! I love the pictures and the brotherly fun these boys share. Nanny
I’m with Emery, this was the best weekend ever. My grill has never looked so good. You can come get the starcakes from the front yard; the squirell saved you a bite.
This is one of my favorite posts lately! I’m glad that you got to spend time with your precious boys. I have to say, that the sprinkler + trampoline combo is a hit at our house as well!

Jeez Kel I just realized how fast the boys were growing up. What happened to the days of baby Noah and Jax sitting on the couch together in drool? I feel like crying. Lily is three now and growing too fast as well. I am gonna get her to the studio for her late birthday pics soon. Love you!! Love the pics.
